Dear TSA members,
Happy New Year (and Happy Chinese New Year next Sunday, Jan. 25). I would
like to thank you for your support and personally invite you and your family
to my upcoming concert at 8pm on Saturday, Feb 14.
Concert information:
Music of Chihchun Chi-sun Lee (featured composer from Taiwan)
8pm on Saturday, Feb 14 at USF Recital Hall (FAH 101)
I am the featured USF composer this year during the Helps International
Festival and the concert on Feb 14 will entirely be all my music. Half of
concert is featuring the USF Percussion Ensemble (Prof. McCormick,
director/conductor) and the other half will feature a great Chinese Zheng
player Haiqiong Deng, along with the USF Symphony Orchestra (Chamber
version, Dr. William Wiedrich, conductor).
The Chinese zheng virtuoso Ms. Deng is originally from China and is one of
the most outstanding Chinese Zheng performers who I have ever worked with.
She has performed with Yo-Yo Ma and many well-known orchestras around the
world, and has been featured at the Carnegie Hall in New York. It is indeed
an honor to have her perform my music during the Helps Festival.
Ms. Deng's information can be found at the website:
http://www.chinesezheng.com/news_article_wfsu_tv.html
Below is the concert program:
*****************
Marimba Concerto
Quartet for Mallets
Thin-O-O
Flute Concerto with four percussionists
Zheng-Tu
Thgirbla .W
Zheng Concerto--Dots, Lines, Convergence
*****************
I sincerely hope you, your family and friends will be able to join us.
