Dear Joe,
This is Janet Chang from Duke University. Hope this semester has been going
great for you!
We are proud to present the 2009 ITASA East Coast Conference at Duke
University from February 19-22. This is the first year that the conference
will be held at Duke as well as the first time that it will be held in the
South. Thus, we are excited to be setting a precedent and are working hard
to bring you the best conference possible.
Our conference is titled *Bringing it Back Home*. We all came from different
backgrounds and upbringings and hold different perspectives. However,
despite the differences, we all share a common heritage and our love for
Taiwan. Through the 2009 ITASA East Coast Conference, we want to bring it
back home and return to our roots to explore the meaning of being Taiwanese
and Taiwanese-American. Through a series of rewarding workshops and exciting
social events, you will be connected to a broad network of fellow Taiwanese
students, professors, and corporate representatives.
Please visit our website for more information: www.duke.itasa.org.
Or invite your friends to join the facebook group:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=33390914809.
We really appreciate your help with publicizing this conference. It would be
great if you can kindly forward this email the the representatives from each
school and to the e-TSA listserv.
Early registration ends on Jan. 20, 2008. We also welcome group
registration. We look forward to meeting you all in February!
