Dear all,
The course, named Item Response Theory (IRT), will be offered in the Fall semester, 2008 by the Department of Educational Measurement and Research in the College of Education. IRT is the most popular and powerful test theory that can apply to diverse fields, such education, psychology, business.... As long as you use questionnaire to collect data, IRT can help you conduct many studies, from item/test analysis to outcome analysis. The more detailed description of this course is presented below and in the attached file.
If you have further concerns and questions, please feel free to contact me at 813-974-4964 or ychen at coedu.usf.edu

?Polytomous IRT models for multiple-category types of item-response data.
?Estimation procedures of item and ability parameters.
In the application part, topics will include:
? Dimensionality Testing, Test Equating, Differential Item Functioning (DIF), Test Construction, and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT).
