Hello!

            Following is a list of events and activities with Friends of
Internationals for the next few weeks! Please read and come join us! Visit

Conversational English Classes

            Friends of Internationals offers English conversational courses
open to all students, scholars, and their families. These classes are FREE
of charge and there is no need to pre-register – just show up ready to
learn! The classes will be offered most every Tuesday throughout the summer.
All classes will be held at the BCM/FI building (click link for directions)
from 7-9 p.m. Classes start tonight! Come and take advantage of this great

Super Wal-Mart Shopping Trip

            This coming Friday, June 8th, FI will take a Grocery/Household
Item shopping trip to the Super Wal-Mart in New Tampa. We plan to leave the
BCM/FI building (click link for directions) at 3 p.m. and return when the
shopping is done. This is specifically a time for those who have no vehicle
and/or just need a ride to the store. If you’d like to go, do reply with an
email by 10 A.M. ON FRIDAY, JUNE 8TH. If meeting at the building on campus
is not convenient, we are also able to have pickups scheduled at 3:10 p.m.
The following places are schedule stops: Campus Walk bus stop on 42nd St.,
Willow Brook bus stop on 42nd St., or Administration bus stop (main bus stop
– wait under covered stop). If you’d like to be picked up at any of these
spots respond to this email indicating which stop. Then be at your stop at

Movie Night at Breckenridge

            This coming Friday, June 8th, FI will host a movie night at
Breckenridge Apts. on the corner of 42nd St. and Skipper Ave. in the game
room (right beside the pool). The movie we will be watching is entitled, One
Night with the King. For complete information on this movie, click here.
Please plan to arrive around 8 p.m. to watch this great movie! If possible,

Trip to Anna Maria Island

            Join FI as we travel to the wonderful beach on Anna Maria Island
just to the east of Bradenton this Saturday, June 9th. Our plan is to meet
at the BCM/FI building (click link for directions) at 10:30 a.m. and for all
of us then to travel together. The cost is only $5 per person and this is
for transportation to and from the beach. Do bring extra money for food or
pack your own. Please just pay your money on the day of the trip.

            We plan to enjoy time by the sea, play games, and enjoy each
other’s company. For more info on this beautiful island, click here. We plan
to return in the late afternoon/early evening. All are invited, so come
enjoy the day!

Ladies Bible Study

            Starting next Monday, June 11th, FI will offer a Ladies’ Bible
studies. All women are invited to come! These will be held at the BCM/FI
building (click link for directions) starting at 9:45 a.m. and lasting until
approximately 11:45 a.m. most every Monday throughout the summer. A special
opportunity to get together with other women for a great time together and

Drawing and Painting Classes

            FI is offering FREE classes to learn how to draw and/or paint.
These classes are open for students, scholars, and their family members who
are at least 6 years old. You will need to buy your own supplies, but the
classes are free. There is a one time cost of $5 to cover fixed costs for
this event. These classes will be held on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. – 12
p.m. in the BCM/FI building (click link for directions) at USF. The classes
will be conducted by a USF faculty who is a professional artist. There will
be an informational meeting on June 12th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the
BCM/FI building (click link for directions) to explain more and the classes
will start on June 19th. If you are interested, please reply to this email
and plan to show up at the meeting.

Sky Diving Trip

            Join FI as we take a trip to go Sky Diving on June 24th. The
cost is $164 (jump only) and this is with a special discount. You must pay a
non-refundable deposit of $40 by June 14th at the BCM/FI building (click
link for directions) and sign up at the BCM/FI building (click link for
directions) as well. Email Charmy (charmcarina at yahoo.com) with any questions
or concerns. The park is located in Zephyrhills and the name is called Sky

RIDGECREST 2007 

            This is a national collegiate meeting held in the beautiful
mountains of Asheville, NC. The BCM goes on this trip each year and it is
always fantastic. It will be held August 4-9. The cost is $225. For more

Airport Taxi Service

            With the end of the semester here you may be interested in our
Airport Taxi Services. This is year round, but especially useful during
vacation times. You may receive free transport to and from the airport,
provided volunteers are available. For more information, click here. 

Host Meal Opportunity – North American Family

            The Host Meal opportunity involves visiting a North American
family who would like to have you to their home for a meal. If you would
like to sign up, just reply to this email with your phone number and home
country. Someone will then contact you inviting you to their home! These
families are interested in getting to know you as you learn more about the
