Our genealogy periodicals do get quite a bit of use.  We have them cataloged, and other than local and state-related, we keep only those indexed on PERSI.  When we get an ILL request for an article, we always remind the patrons to check our catalog first to see if we have that issue (or we check for them).  Often we do, which saves them time and money!  We request a minimal donation for obituary lookups, and that money goes into our periodical binding account.
