[Genealib] Genealogy periodical usage

We haven't done a survey. A little over a year ago we began having our periodicals bound and cataloged. In that time period, I have received a number of Interlibrary Loan requests for articles from periodicals (5 in the last 30 days).

I can't say that it has made a huge difference in usage, but I have had a few customers say that they checked our catalog for those titles before visiting.

Subject: [Genealib] Genealogy periodical usage

Hi, All:

Has anyone done a survey on how much their genealogy periodicals are used? Does cataloging them increase their chances of being used more? Ours are not cataloged and appear on our web site on a separate page.

Besides these questions, I welcome any and all comments regarding such usage.

Thanks,
