The first thing that comes to mind is if you can talk with people of this age group and ask them about their grandparents. If you find any that have a special place in their hearts for their grandparents this would be a great way of getting both age groups to talk to each other. You could make a list of questions they could ask them ( I have a prepared list if you want it) and I would bet the older generation would love this. This could be a way of the younger group hearing stories they never paid attention to before.
I hope others have more ideas.
Another approach to the grandparents would be for the younger group to ask Grandma for a couple of her special recipes and that could be a way to get the conversation going especially if the recipes are ethnic oriented. They could then ask about the "old country". This may or may not work but who knows?

Subject: [Genealib] Getting College Age Students Involved

I am a library student that is interested in forming a group of college age individuals (age 20-35) that are interested in genealogy. The problem I am having is coming up with ideas on how to reach this age group. Does anyone have any ideas or successful programming that they would like to share? Thanks!
