Subject: Michigan governor abolishes Department of History, Arts, and
Libraries

On July 13, 2009, the Governor of Michigan issued Executive Order
2009-36 abolishing the Department of History, Arts, and Libraries. The
State Records Management Program is being transferred to the Department
of Management and Budget. The State Archives is being transferred to the
Department of Natural Resources.
