[Genealib] russian books

Folks:
?a friend recently bought at a goodwill store three volumes in russian that were in a military library before being discarded? we are trying to figure out what they are? they call numbers are:
RES? for reserve I believe
AE
55
E66
he has vol 41 etc.. 
there is at elast 55 volumes in the set as he has #55.

any suggestions would be appreciated??
