The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee library school has a one credit
seminar on Genealogy in their program (basically a genealogy 101
course). http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/SLIS/academics/index.htm - taught under
691 special topics every couple of years (as of 2003 at least)
The National Institute for Genealogical Studies has a genealogy
librarianship professional learning certificate. I completed the
certificate program last year. I highly recommend it.

One of the librarians at the Newberry Library has a recently published
book on Genealogy Reference. I highly recommend this as well. Simpson,
Jack. Basics of Genealogy Reference: A Librarian's Guide. Westport,
Conn: Libraries Unlimited, 2008. ISBN: 9781591585145
I'd love to have a copy of compiled answers.
