Dear List Members,
I am in need of information on courses currently available from library schools or any other academic programs for librarians, archivists, and museum curators interested in learning about genealogical pursuits. I seek this as part of my dissertation, an ethnographic study of family historians and album makers. In the last chapter, I make suggestions about courses in genealogical librarianship.
If any of you teach such courses, I would be very interested in seeing your syllabus and/or speaking with you. It is a very small part of my work, but still I think important to my conclusions which discuss private archives and the many ways these are growing. My work itself is through the University of Amsterdam and described at http://cf.hum.uva.nl/bai/home/eketelaar/Tuckersummary.doc
Thank you,
Susan Tucker
