[Genealib] Missing Districts from the 1920 Chicago Census

After consulting with Scott Forsythe, archivist at NARA Great Lakes Region, I've discovered that these enumeration districts WERE filmed on roll 323 of T625, but were omitted from the microfilm catalog.

Compounding the confusion, is the fact that these enumeration districts are for some reason not on Ancestry or Heritagequest and are reported as missing from the microfilm in the LDS Family History Library Catalog.

I am still looking for the reason WHY the images are missing on Ancestry and Heritagequest - two completely separate companies using the same source material. Logic tells me the problem is most likely with the source - but according to NARA, this is not the case. My next step will be to contact Ancestry and Heritagequest to see if they can provide an explanation. I will also try to find out what I can from the LDS about the apparently erroneous notation in the catalog. If I learn anything new, I will be sure to post it here.

Kind Regards,

Subject: [Genealib] Missing Districts from the 1920 Chicago Census

I recently discovered that enumeration districts 819-839 for the 14th ward of Chicago in 1920 are not on Ancestry.com and were not included in the original filming by NARA. According to the website www.alookatcook.com <http://www.alookatcook.com/> these districts are now available on NARA film T625-323 (Part II). Does anyone know if these images are available anywhere else online? I tried looking on HeritageQuest and WorldVitalRecords but couldn't find them there either. I wonder if these districts will be included in the new familysearch website? If they're not available online, does anyone have experience borrowing films from NARA? What all is involved?

Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.

Kind Regards,
