[Genealib] West Virginia resource books

We received a flyer today from North American Book Dist., LLC, Hamburg,
MI, offering an Encyclopedia of West Virginia (c1999), West Virginia
Biographical Dictionary (c1998), and Indians of West Virginia (c1999).
The West Virginia Library Commission Library (the state public library
of WV) and the West Virginia Archives and History Library are not aware
of these titles, do not have them in their collections and do not intend
to purchase them.  
 
I particularly want you to recognize that the "Encyclopedia of West
Virginia" that is being offered for $95.00 is not the West Virginia
Encyclopedia published by the West Virginia Humanities Council
(http://www.wvhumanities.org/encyc1_eg.htm)  in June 2006 that currently
sells for $44.95.  The West Virginia Encyclopedia was placed in every
school and public library in the state in 2006, and is going online with
an interactive Web site on June 20, 2009 (http://www.wvhumanities.org/).
 
A fourth offering, West Virginia: A Guide to the Mountain State is a
reprinting of the 1941 WPA travel guide, a wonderful snapshot in time of
the state, and a valued historical resource, particularly for its
description of towns and buildings that no longer exist or no longer
thrive.
