We purchased the ScanPro 1000 from e-image data last summer and are extremely happy. We looked at the ST200X first and liked it, but once we had a chance to look at the ScanPro, it was an easy choice to make. It accommodates both film and fiche (with the ST200X, it cost extra to get the fiche reader), has fewer breakable parts, and has a smaller footprint (we had limited space so this was important.) Patrons get the hang of it with just some basic instruction. Also, it was less expensive than the ST200X. A few members of our local genealogy society had experienced the ST200X at another library and were not impressed - they found it to be very difficult to use and these ladies are pretty savvy computer users.
