Great idea, but in terms of a librarian or cataloging clerk having time
to do such an index, highly unlikely. This type of project is great for
volunteers and societies to undertake, though.

As an amateur genealogist and an aspiring cataloging librarian,
I wish that there were an index of these names available. Simply take
every name and list it with a birth year (or approximate if that
applies) and have it searchable.
