For any group sheets, family trees, etc. we create file folders which are
kept in a Family History filing cabinet. We created a Call Number FH to
indicate family histories. The record is catalogued as per example.

     Telfer family [file]
Subjects a.. Telfer Family -- Collingwood, ON.

                    a.. Family histories

Summary, etc.: Contains detailed family information on
the descendants of William Telfer who emigrated to Canada from Scotland
c1780.

Description: one file (23 items) letter size

                  Requests: 0

            Copy/Holding information
                        Collection Call No. Status
GenealogyRm Family History File FH TELFE Checked
In - Item on shelf Add Copy to MyList

Hope this helps. This allows patrons to search by family names or by family
histories.
