[Genealib] addresses on information requests

We have a vertical file and a surname card file. Both contain full contact information of the persons in the files and cards. While I understand the concern, the primary reason people contact public libraries seeking family history is their hope that their families left a trail. Many times they find others seeking the same families and I would have a hard time explaining why the contact info was blacked out. So therefore, our policy stands as it always has-patrons can find contact information on any others seeking same families as they are. This is how we help each other in genealogy. When I have asked people's permissions to do this they always say certainly, this is why they are sending it to us.
This is my nickles worth as it were.

Subject: [Genealib] addresses on information requests
I am curious what others do with the genealogy request letters they receive, especially pertaining to the mailing address.
Do you include the letters in existing family files? If so what do you do about the address, do you mark it out or do you put the letter in the family file with the address still visible?
Does anyone have a statement about this subject in their request form or responce letter?
Thank you
