Hi,
We do have a family file collection in our New Jersey Room that
contains letters collected by a local genealogist that support his
research for his family history books. There are two sets of these
letters, all copies of the original collection, in our county. We have
add general information, copies, etc., to these files, but not our
research letters.
All of our research letters in a separate file in the reference office,
because of privacy concerns. We have them back to 1999. Each reply
letter that we send out generally contains a list of resources used, so
comes in handy for similar research projects. As far as connecting
"cousins," there has been a couple of occasions that I felt it
appropriate, to "connect" two researchers who were working on the same
exact line. Basically, I asked permission of both beforehand and then
emailed them both an introduction.
