[Genealib] West Virginia Archives Closed Thanksgiving weekend

The West Virginia Archives and History Library in the The Cultural
Center, Capitol Complex, Charleston, will be closed November 27-29,
2008, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday and Saturday. We are
also scheduled to close at 1:00 p.m. on December 24, Christmas Eve; all
day December 25, Christmas Day; at 1:00 p.m. on December 31, New Year's
Eve; and all day January 1, New Year's Day.  Please call before visiting
on December 24 and 31, in case there are scheduling changes. Current
plans for 2009 are set through the summer:  the Archives and History
Library will remain open on the following federal/state holidays in
2009:  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, and West Virginia
Day (June 20).  All other Archive and History offices will be closed.
The Library and offices will be closed Memorial Day and Independence
Day.  
 
>From now through the spring, the Archives and History Library is
expected to be spruced up with new window blinds, carpet,
reupholstering, etc.  Anyone who is making a special trip to visit the
Library should check our Web site and call (304) 558-0230 to
double-check days and hours the Library will be open and the services
that will be available at the time of the planned visit.
