In this sesquicentennial year of Minnesota statehood, we're pleased to 
announce a new geographic reference, /Minnesota on the Map/. This 
wonderfully illustrated volume traces the history of the state through 
the efforts of cartographers and others. Did you know that the 1874 A.T. 
Andreas /Illustrated and Historical Atlas of the State of Minnesota/ was 
the very first color litho atlas covering an entire state? And it's an 
excellent genealogical source as well, with year of arrival and nativity 
as two pieces of data in its patrons' directory!
