John,

Has your patron contacted the Baseball Hall of Fame for information
about "Red" Donahue? I asked them for some research on a relative once
and found them very helpful and thorough.

Here's the link to their research library:

Hi,

We have a patron who has asked for an obituary of a person who died in

Philadelphia in 1913.

Unfortunately we don't have access to an Obituary or old Philadelphia

Newspaper Database.

If it is possible can someone get us a copy of this obit thru a online

database and email or fax us a copy? I know my patron would be very
grateful as will I.

The deceased -

Francis "Red" Donahue or Frank "Red" Donahue

  Died August 26th, 1913

Mr. Donahue was a well known baseball player for the Philadelphia
Phillies.

He was born in Waterbury Connecticut and after retiring opened a Saloon
in Philadelphia.

There may be a large article written about his death in the Philadelphia
paper.

Any help would be appreciated.

Our email address: johnw at biblio.org

Our fax # 203-723-1820

Thank You!!!!!
