Over the past several years we simply made a statement "How to Begin
your Family History Research." Based on experience, this has brought in
more people for us. January, we had 49 people. We try to stay away from
the word "Genealogy." <g>

Subject: [Genealib] Beginning Genalogy Class
I will be conducting a my first beginning genealogy class in the fall.
I am wondering what to call it. Beginning genalogy sounds so bland and
the rest of our library programs seem to have catchy names. I'm
wondering if I should call it something else, yet I don't want to
deceive anyone into thinking it is something it is not. For those of
you who already do this, do you call it beginning genealogy or some
other name?
Thanks,
Gail Grunst
