I am a librarian at the Waterloo Public Library in
Waterloo, IA. We just subscribed to
NewspaperArchive.com this past summer. Our staff and
patrons love it for the ability to search for local
history and genealogical items. We've been offering
classes in how to use it during the two "Genealogy
Gala" weeks that we have every year, and they've
always been full.

We are particularly fortunate, however, because they
have the entire backfile (1859-1977) for our local
paper (or at least all of it that's out of copyright).

We have, however, also had luck with finding a few
items from out-of-town papers for our patrons, so it
might also be worth a look even if your local paper is
digitized elsewhere.
