Hi,

I am currently researching the life of Character film Actor -

J. Farrell MacDonald

Mr. MacDonald was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and acted in over 300 films
up until his death in the 1950's....

His last role was in the Superman TV Series in the 1950's. One of his
earliest jobs was director of several of the early silent film versions
of the Wizard of Oz.

The Hartford courant wrote an article about his return to Waterbury in 1927,
where he defended Hollywood...

Unfortunately I don't have access to the Hartford Courant from 1929
digitaly...

Would someome be so kind to email us a copy of the following --

"MacDonald, Film Star, back in Waterbury, Defends Hollywood"
From the Hartford Courant -- May 29, 1927
   Page 16

My goal in this research is to get Mr. MacDonald elected to the Waterbury's
Silas Bronson Library's Hall of Fame.

The more I can find about the life of this actor/director the better
case I can give to get him elected....

My email is: johnw at biblio.org

Thank you so much!!!!
