[Genealib] RE: Charges for Obituaries

The charge for searching is $1.00 for Marion County residents and $7.25
for non-residents per name. This includes the cost of copying one page
of an obituary. If the obituary is more than one page, we will send a
bill for the extra copies. Pre-payment is required for amounts over
$10.00.

One of our Library patrons donated three (1930 - 1932) yearbooks;
"Snapshots", I believe for Green Bay West High. They are in very good
condition (inscribed to the original owner). I would like to offer them
to an institution that will make good use of them, preferrably to an
institution that will facilitate use of the yearbooks by the public.
Can you pass this on to an appropriate repository for these yearbooks?

Well, all I can say it must have been a fluke, but I sure liked using
it. I do have a witness who saw it too. <g> But, now it is gone. Maybe
they were doing a test.

We charge $5 for the first 15 minutes. If it takes longer than that it
is $15 per hour. If paper copies mailed we charge $.25 - no charge if
obit is scanned and sent via email

Hi,
We charge $5.00 for the search and 25-cents for the photocopy for each
obituary/death notice or other news items (e.g., marriage announcements,
car accidents, murder trials). All requests must be in writing with
pre-payment, unless there are special needs. Due to recent acquisitions
(YAY!) and several grant projects, the library now holds a large and
robust
newspaper microfilm collection, so if we don't find the obit or article
in
one newspaper, we generally find it published in another (or more than
one).
