[Genealib] dedicated room

I'm going to answer, in effect, your question #2. A mistake I have seen
made very frequently in genealogy rooms (both those I have administered,
and those I have visited), is setting up furniture and immobile room
features in such a way that microfilm and fiche machines are places with
their screens facing major lighting sources (i.e. windows). Most people
don't realize, when setting up their rooms, the absolutely detrimental
effects light can have when viewing these materials. A similar issue
would be the placing of extensive amounts of book materials in places
where they are very heavily lit by external light. This will tend to
bleach the book covers and cause other similar issues, aging the
collection prematurely.
Thanks,
Jeffrey
