We are trying to microfilm our old copies of the Kings Mountain
Herald and have contacted a company. They have suggested that we use a
overhead non-destructive book scanner and from the digital images they
would create the microfilm using a 35 mm archive writer. Do you think
this is what we should do because I am unsure about this stuff? For
duplicate copies do we want the diazo or silver? Also, are there any
technical specifications for the microfilming? What image resolution do
we need (dpi)? I would greatly appreciate any information anyone can
offer.

I will be out of the office until Monday morning, but I will
appreciate any help anyone can offer.
