FTM does work on Macintoshes, but only up to a 1996 stopping point - I have
it at home, since I use to beta test Mac programs for various developers.
The main things are that any format eventually gets outdated. That 1996 FTM
uses an old Mac operating system as well.

And it's not just Mac vs. Windows. I see more and more where people using
Windows are going back to XP rather than struggle with Vista. I have had to
use Vista at various genealogical presentations I have given this year, and
was not a happy camper. See how far we have gotten off genealogy???
