What got you started?

Curiosity at about the age 12. Asked Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents questions
about relatives and made charts which were tucked away for many years.

Charts were dragged out when a Texas nephew, working on his Doctorate in
Switzerland, became interested in genealogy. We found and visited family
members and relatives we never knew throughout Europe.

Been at it ever since.

Now at age 84, still curious, but about the shipmates of US Submarine
Service during WWII.

It's quite a learning experience.
