For African American genealogy research resources, there is a lot at
FamilySearch.org Look here
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp?page=home/welcome/site_resources.asp
For Footnote.com - check with your local LDS Family History Center. They
might already have access to Footnote.com through their internet portal,
that you could take for a test drive. They should be glad to help you out.
That Lock-in sounds great: dedication + technology & guidance + synergy =
Success!
Becky Menzel, Thanks for the heads up on the Washington Death records
(1907-1960) going online. My mother-in-law's gender was given as male, but
there was a comment form available on the page. I set 'em straight! How long
do you think it will take to get it changed? :-)
