Should I go on?

Pesonally I consider, based on the cost to a patron to obtain a copy of a Revolutionary War pension from the National Archives alone, that Footnote.com is a steal.

Now, I write descriptions for Footnote and they pay me, but I would say the same things. It is grand for access to federal records. And I haven't done a description in months.

.. My library is looking to purchase a subscription but wanted a little feedback from user community. We had an interesting conversation among staff here about the database and want to know   how useful was the database?  One of our concerns was that we found very little use in terms of African American genealogy. Anecdotal and quantitative responses are welcomed.
