You didn't explain exactly where the playbills come from, but that
may seems obvious to you living in New York.
However, if they are for regional theater, stock companies, or tent
shows, etc. there may be other locations such as
"The Theatre Museum of Repertoire Americana
Unique collection of memorabilia from early American popular
entertainment. Priceless stage drops, artifacts, computer-catalogued
library, scripts and music scores dating from the 1850s. Photographs,
playbills, scrapbooks, costumes and scenery from touring companies
that played in hundreds of opera houses, town halls and tent theaters."
