Georgia cousins and friends,

 

I will be speaking to the Elbert County Historical Society on Saturday 
evening August 23^rd at the Depot in Elberton.

 

I will be discussing my new book, */_The Road to Rock Island_/* which 
covers the service of my GG Grandfather, William Moore and the two 
companies with which he served and his subsequent imprisonment at Rock 
Island Prison. The book covers companies H of the 38^th Ga infantry and 
Co F of the 15^th Ga Infantry both from the Bowman/Goshen area of NW 
Elbert Co.

 

I hope you will invite your friends and members of the UDC and SCV who 
might be interested.

 

I will also have copies of */_War Comes to Broad River_/* which deals 
with Co E. of the 37^th Ga from Madison and Clarke Counties.
