[Genealib] genealogy for 6-year-olds

Oral history questions that a 6 year old can ask that would be meaningful to the child.
1. Tell me about the first teacher you remember.
2. What was your favorite toy or doll as a child?
3. Describe your childhood bedroom.
4. Did you have any childhood pets?
5. Did you get along with your brothers and sisters?
6. Did your mother make your clothing or were they store-bought?
My favorite source for questions is "To Our Children's Children" by Bob Greene and his sister, D. G. Fulford, but there are certainly other ones out there. If you have a copy of the Ungame sitting around, that also has good questions.
The question previously stated about celebrating Christmas is a good one I have used in oral history circles.

I am going to be hosting a Daisy troop for a short session on family history. I'd like ideas for questions to give them to ask their parents and grandparents. I'd like to give them just 4 or 5 really good questions that they will have fun asking and their relatives will enjoy answering. Also, does anyone have a 3-generation chart made up or know of an online source for one?
I don't want to overwhelm these little girls with a lot of detail or an assignment that seems like homework, but I hope that they will come up with something that, when dug out of the back of a closet a few years from now, will pique their interest into doing more in-depth research.
Thanks,

I have done a few things with Scout troops and amazed that some kids
don't know their ethnic background. I would suggest asking them what
country/cultural background their parents or grandparents have and what
traditions - Christmas or naming etc. that are long standing family
traditions. For instance my family (German/Austrian) always opened
presents on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day and boys in my
family have two middle names and all the girls have middle names that
start with E.

I've used these generation charts with kids before, they are Disney so

An item appeared on this list recently called The Family Forest. It was a
generations chart that allowed for step-parents & step-siblings. Anyone else
remember this?
Sounds like a fun project for the kids!
