[Genealib] Birthplace "Ia"

Back in the 1800s, "Ia" was the common abbreviation for Indiana, it
wasn't just used by a few census takers. Indexers (and researchers) need
to be aware of such historical differences.

I have also found a lot of people born in Indiana incorrectly indexed as
India. This is a matter of clicking the wrong choice on their indexing
program, but one would think there would be a proof-reading system in
place.

I have found that in 1850, some of the Indiana census takers abbreviated
Indiana as "Ia", and so at face value it looks like there are a lot of
Indiana residents who were born in Iowa, when really they were born in
Indiana.

The "via" is curious.  It is written plainly.  Maybe it stands for
Virginia?

Using Ancestry, I find four Thomas Johnson. It appears one is born in 
Ohio, one in North Carolina, and two in Iowa (Ia). It could be a 
matter of interpretation of the abbreviations, but I don't see a "via".
