Wanda,
I have indeed coordinated and presented on that issue in several venues. I spoke at the 2006 APG Professional Management Conference on "Establishing Your Rates" and last November at the ICAPGen Professional Conference on "Genealogical Career Options" while I will be doing "Marketing and Advertisins Strategies" at this years APG PMC. Both the APG and ICAPGen annucal conferences focus on this topic with regularity. In addition, about very three or four years, the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy devotes an entire week-long course to operating a professional genealogy research business.
Contact me off list if you have further questions. We need more such venues for the growing profession.

Has anyone coordinated a workshop/program on the subject " Genealogy as a Business" or "Making Money as a Genealogist"? Who conducted the program? Was the Association of Professional Genealogist involved in the program? Thanks.
