Anne's e-mail sparked an idea in my brain.

When I visited Ellis Island a couple of years ago, I was told there were
different rules for different periods of time. I think it would be interesting
to have a timeline with that information.

Does anyone else agree?

Is this information already available in one place?

I think it might answer some questions and give us clues about another place
to look for records for our immigrant ancestors.
