In addition to a reception etc, we put bookplates in honor of their
service in appropriate volumes, and give them a card telling them which
book is "theirs."

Subject: [Genealib] Genealogy Volunteers

Gang

We have 114 volunteers who put in a lot of time and energy into
providing all sorts of services and activities for us. We added up
their hours for the past year and it accounts for 15.5 FTE staff!!!!

Every year we have a nice brunch and give them a lovely gift. We have
been doing this for several years.
At the same time library system has an annual luncheon, nice gift, live
music, speeches, etc.

This year I would like to do something different for these terrific
folks who range in age from teen to 90. What sort of recognition are
you currently providing for your genealogy and local history volunteers?

Thanking you in advance for your ideas and suggestions.
