We purchased at ST200 Microfilm Viewer-Scanner in December and finally
have it up and running. If your patrons just want to do the easy
"ViewPrint", then it's a one button process. I'm in the process of doing
pretty detailed instructions because it takes five buttons to turn on
everything - and we don't keep it running unless a patron needs to use it.
There are three buttons on the ST200 itself, plus turning on the CPU and
turning on the computer monitor. We purchased a large flat panel monitor
and mounted it on a swivel arm at eye level above the ST200. Our sales rep
told us it's one of the best set-ups he's ever seen. I have digital
images if anyone is interested. I see staff doing the more complicated
scanning processes, but 99% of our genealogy patrons will just want to
print a nice, clear image.
