A quick search on your favorite engine using "genealogy kids" turns up
several useful resources. There is even a Cyndi's List category
http://www.cyndislist.com/kids.htm

You might want to investigate some of the publications listed on Cyndi's
List to recommend to the parents if the kids seem interested in
continuing after the workshop (or buy/borrow a couple to use in
preparation).
