[Genealib] is ancestry.com a library option?

We have also been told that Ancestry.com is not offered to libraries.
I recently asked our administrative staff to determine from ProQuest why
Filby's Passenger and Immigration Lists Index was no longer included in
the Library Edition of Ancestry. Here is part of the reply I received,
FYI:

Ancestry Library Edition has everything in Ancestry.com EXCEPT:

*	One World Tree
*	Obituary Collection
*	People Finder
*	Family Facts
*	Historical Newspaper Collection
*	ProQuest's G&LH Books in the Families and Local Histories
Collection
*	Periodical Source Index (PERSI) (found in HeritageQuest Online)
*	Freedman's Bank Records (found in HeritageQuest Online)
*	Biography & Genealogy Master Index (BGMI)
*	Passenger and Immigration List Index (PILI)

Note: The Ancestry World Tree and the Ancestry Message Boards will
remain read-only. Users will not be able to upload GEDCOM data, post
messages, or reply to messages from ALE.

Specifically, the PILI about which you asked is content provided by Gale
to Ancestry for just their consumer version.

Ancestry Library Edition contains everything that is on Ancestry.com
except anything that was contributed by the general population.
According to Proquest, things like OneWorldTree, the message boards,
etc. that have not been verified by Ancestry.com is not included.

We have Ancestry Library Edition, but patrons grumble because it doesn't
offer as much as Ancestry.com. I bet I get my answer quicker (and
easier) here in LSG than if I called the company!
