The Wayne County School Board is probably not the right entity to contact
for Detroit public school records.  Tell your patron to contact the Detroit
Public Schools Administrative Office.  It was located in the Schools Center
Bldg. 5057 Woodward Avenue between Putnam and Warren Ave. 10-12 years ago
when I obtained the school records for an aunt, who graduated from DPS'
Northern H.S. in 1929.  Not sure if the office is still in the same
location, but you can probably locate it via the Internet.  Good luck.
