[Genealib] non-library collections

Our library has a partnership with the local genealogical society in
which we house, catalog and oversee their collection. The records are
available on our online catalog, however, they are non-circulating items
unless you are a member of the society. Members of the society are
allowed to sign out the materials for a weekend time period of noon
Saturday until noon on Monday.

I would like to know if anyone is aware of a collection that is not the
property of  a library but is catalogued and therefore accessible
through the library's online catalog. This offsite collection would not
circulate; the library oversees the handling, catalagoing and use of the
collecion.
