For Your Information:
In my research, there were two brothers from Sheboygan, WI who were both lost
during WWII on different US Submarines.
This is one of many untold stories of the family tradegies of that period.

Their names were Edward Francis Sullivan, Jr. LTJG, born abt 1919 and Donald
Charles Sullivan RM3 born 1922.

Rerecorded in the two volume publication
US SUBMARINE MEN LOST DURING WWII
See the following for a description of the work.
http://www.subvetpaul.com/Diedwwii.htm

These reference books were intended for Archive, Historic Genealogy Libraries
and Museums.
There are men from every state listed.
The stories of all the lost boats are included as well as a state index.

Is this the sort of item you are discussing?
