Hello

One of our vendors has decided to make a special offer to libraries for
a Massachusetts digitized property owner map collection for use in
library intra-nets or throughout a library system. Previously, these
maps were sold to libraries on CD by county atlas within a software
package for viewing and printing by a single user.
The entire collection will now be available as a one time purchase (no
recurring licensing fees) of the collection in PDF format so that
library patrons within the network may download, copy or print for their
own personal use. Pricing varies for individual library networks versus
multiple library network systems, but the vendor will provide a per
library discount for multiple library networks.

Details of the map coverage and snapshots of the map detail can be found
at http://www.ancestralmanor.com/MP3/1870sMABeersAtlases.pdf

Another map collection from New York wall maps created for the fledgling
Automobile Association of America between 1890 to 1908 is also
available. The New York maps collection is available as both original
lithographs (most are in the 30x40 inch size range) and as PDFs for use
within library network systems.

The description of this New York collection can be found at
http://www.ancestralmanor.com/MP3/c1900NYWallmaps.pdf

A multimedia tour of one southern Hudson River Valley map (including
western Massachusetts and Connecticut) has detailed snapshots and
descriptions of the map features and may be downloaded at
http://www.ancestralmanor.com/MP3/HudsonRSouth.exe

These maps are particularly helpful for researchers interested in the
19th century migrations from New England through New York.

There are two more map CD and print vendors (for foreign maps) that also
seem interested in providing collections to library system networks, so
I will update you if those become available also.

I can provide pricing for individual libraries, but for multi-library
network systems I would need to get a quote from the vendor.
