[Genealib] scanning at the library

Being quite the computer geek, and heavily involved with digitizing at the
library, I thought this was a good idea.

But cooler heads prevailed when I suggested it - like, how do we know who
owns the rights? What if someone doesn't want the pic to be scanned? And
uploading pics that you have no knowledge of the provenance or ownership or
copyright is a box of worms. 

Obviously I am briefing down a VERY long discussion.

OTOH, I encouraged a local genealogy society to embark on digitizing local
church records. Anyone wanna hear about that?
