Alberta's (Canada) Vital Records are not listed online. However, the Provincial Archives of Alberta has an index of:

"Vital Statistics Records (ca. 1870 - 1980's)

The Archives holds records of the civil registration of births, marriages, and deaths for Alberta from about 1870 to the 1980's for some communities. There is an index available for the records created up to 1905. Records created after 1905 are organised by place; therefore it is necessary to know where in Alberta the event took place and approximately when.

Please note that the Provincial Archives does not hold records for every year, nor for every community in Alberta. Records not held by the Provincial Archives are still in the custody of the Vital Statistics Office <http://www3.gov.ab.ca/gs/information/vs/contact.cfm> . Vital statistics records cannot be photocopied, but transcripts can be provided for $5.00 per record."

  I

I was wondering how many states have a death index? Washington State
has microfilm that lists by decade people who have died, when they died,
and where they died in the state. Does any other state have that?
