The Louisiana State Archives has death indexes for deaths more than 50 years
old. The Louisiana State Library has death indexes through 1974, but the
actual records are not public until they are 50 years old.

Subject: [Genealib] State Death Indexes
I
I was wondering how many states have a death index? Washington State
has microfilm that lists by decade people who have died, when they died,
and where they died in the state. Does any other state have that?
