Does anyone know of an Internet site where Coats of Arms are shown and stray
ones can be researched (for pay or whatever)???

We have, in our family, a little, fadded, worn leather box (about a 3 inch x
5 inch) that my deceased father-in-law always kept in his top
chest-of-drawers for collecting his pennies. For years, I thought that
there was nothing on the lid; but, I was trying to clean it and a
coat-of-arms just popped out at me! This was a thrill and... a puzzle!
Whose coat-of-arms was this???

My father-in-law's father, Joseph Minder, of Jaroslaw, Poland came to
America in 1884; he came to the New York/New Jersey area to live with his
sister, Pearl Minder Schneck and her husband, a Jewish scribe. Pearl and
her husband had come to America before 1884 and they had about 17 children.

Joseph Minder, also had a brother, Henry Minder who lived (later years) in
Yonkers, New York. By 1900, Joseph Minder had married an Alabama girl, and
moved to Athens, Georgia. He owned and operated a tailor shop until his
death in 1949. His brother, Henry Minder, was also a tailor; but, in New
York. Later... there was another brother, Isadore Minder, who eventually
settled in Macon, Georgia; he was also a tailor.

The family is said to have been from Jaroslaw, Poland. I would love to
know if this is their coat-of-arms for the Minder surname or if it is
connected to this family in any way.

Please send me to some useful site to research this further.

Thank you!
