Fern, I tested GenealogyBank before it went public. I was invited to do that as the former
director of the library of a large Manhattan genealogical society for a dozen years and
the editor of a genealogical society publication.

I was very pleased with GenealogyBank. It has a huge amount of material I didn't see
offered anywhere else online. For instance, its "Historical Documents" section has the
complete American State Papers and the U.S. Serial Set. There are many books in
"Historical Books" I couldn't access anywhere else. It has all five series of "Early
American Newspapers." I'm not super-high-tech, so I appreciated how easy the software's
features are to understand and use, and I found the Help section very comprehensive and
well-written.

When I was researching the history of a 200-year-old church in Manhattan and the lives of
its founders and later parishioners, I made extensive use of the early New York City
newspapers, like the "New-York Evening Post," the "New-York Herald," and the "New-York
Daily Advertiser."

Subject: [Genealib] America's GenealogyBank

I recently attended a demonstration of America's GenealogyBank a product of NewsBank. It
was impressive. I wanted experience of any libraries that get this database, especially in
New York.

Thank you,
